I have the parts from Declan Burns for his rose-jointed clutch linkage kit but I have not got round to fitting them.

No dust boots on those rose joints? Also looks like you need a new gaiter.

I wasn’t happy with the double thin links, pins, and cotter pins. Replaced them with a single thick link which has threaded holes. Bolts with lock nuts allow adjusting the side play. Think I made a clevis for the adjustment rod. I agree heim joints would have been more elegant.
That black high pressure moly open gear lube is absolutely dirty nasty stuff. It gets everywhere and is a ( your favorite British expletive here) to clean up.

Forgot to order a gaiter but it’ll take 5 mins to fit. Part of my next ESM order. Never needed rose joint boots, I find if they are kept free of grease they self clean.

I made or adapted some of the parts myself but used some parts of the ESM kit for the relay shaft too

Fair enough. I did get the boots for mine and in an idle moment I fitted them to the parts but as yet not fitted to the car. I have some maintenance planned for the end of the "season" so to speak. I try to stack jobs so that they are all done when access is already provided. For instance, an oil and filter change will be due. To do this, I run the car around until it's hot, jack up the front and put the car on axle stands. Then I can drain the oil. Whilst the oil drains I can get the front wheels off, grease the trunnions etc, remove the brake drums and clean out, adjust the brakes. This would be a good time to fit the improved clutch linkage. I haven't bothered because the linkage is still in very good order having been replaced only about a year ago and so I probably won't get a lot of improvement as compared to replacing a worn out linkage.
