Really need panel help please!

Hi all
My 57 saloon requires pretty much every panel underneath and all inner wings.
I'm not a fabricator or welder, but I need some advise please.

The panels seem to all interlink and I have no idea where to start first and I know a lot of you on here really know your stuff. Can anyone give me an order that the work needs to be done in please?

I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed with it and would appreciate any help and advice as to where to start first. I'd prefer to do a corner at a time, but I'm not sure this will be possible.

The main centre cross member also requires replacement and I wondered if that should be my first point to start at. I'd very much appreciate any advise. I'm the lady from Rust & Roses if any of you are watching Muriel's restoration. :D

Yes you could start with the main cross member..this helps to keep it all square when you then do each side.

Brace door apertures and across the car with angle or square tube before you start. Once adequately braced you can confidently cut away what you need to without risk of distortion.

Remember that most replacement panels will require some adjustment to fit and that you dont always need to replace the whole panel if large parts of it are still sound.

Enjoy!
