Window channel felt seals

Hi.

I've recently bought a 1961 Series 3 saloon and I've searched the forum but can't find what I'm looking for so am posting for help! How many metres of window channel felt seal do I need to buy for a four door saloon? Does the felt go all the way down the vertical channels or can you get away with just putting it at the top around the glass? Is the 12.5 mm felt suitable? Any info on doing this job would be appreciated. Thanks.

Try ESM website list top and sides separately

The felt has to go all the way down the channel for the glass so that it doesn't rattle when the window is fully wound down. Yes, check out ESM.

Thanks for your replies. I was thinking of buying it by the metre from somewhere like Woollies trim supplies. Individual pieces from ESM add up to a lot more money if you want to do four doors!

Fair enough. If you remove the door cards to get a peek at the channels you should be able to get an idea of how many metres you require....

Do all 4 doors need it? I found only my drivers door had the glass rattle which is when the need replacement. They are only glass guides. Don't do it for no reason.
