As Bill says, Wynns Substi Plomb is a Lead Substitute so has absolutely diddly-squat to do with Ethanol in fuel.
Ethanol was used as an anti-knock and octane enhancing additive in fuel as early as the 1800s.
It's a long and complicated timeline, see here:

In the era our cars came from, nobody cared about Ethanol in Fuel...

Cleveland Discol was sold from 1928 to 1968.
The problem we have now is modern synthetic rubber and such materials, which don't like the Ethanol.
'Lead' (tetraethyl lead) was added to petrol starting in the 1920s to boost octane ratings and prevent engine knocking.
As a side effect, it was found to lubricate the valves
So when lead was removed, people got their 'knickers in a twist' about their engine valves and a whole lead Substitute industry was born.
Generally speaking, you have to be working your engine hard to damage the valves, so IMHO, it's not worth fitting a 'Lead Free Head' unless it's already worn, do you even know if your cylinder head doesn't have Valve Seat Inserts?
