Headlight trim rings (rivet)

My original headlight outer trim rings are shabby. They let the car down now that it has fresh paint and so I replaced them with high quality modern chrome trims. The modern replacements do not have the domed rivet at the top of the ring. Not only is this incorrect but the rivet serves a very useful function. When the rivet is at exactly 12 O'clock position at the top, the screw hole at the bottom is lined up. This makes it far easier to replace the ring when changing a headlight bulb. Without the rivet, it is a frustrating process of best guess when trying to insert the screw. It makes the job far more difficult than it has to be.
Is anybody aware of new trim rings that have the correct rivet? I cannot find any. Another option is that I have the originals rechromed, I have kept them of course.

Stephen does the other side of the rivet have a location tab?
Can you post a picture of inside view.
Just looked at a picture of mine, it has a rivet on passenger side but a screw ( possible replacement) on drivers side.

Hello Bill,
I think it's just a landmark for the 12 o'clock position. There's no location tab. At the bottom there are 2x holes. A larger one for the screw and a smaller one which sits at 6 o'clock which is a water drain hole. The modern ones I have lack the water drain hole as well as the top rivet. The water drain hole could also be used as a guide to lining up the screw hole.

If you could find stainless ones you could drill for a rivet.
