Top Brass

A while ago I was given some short lengths of round and hexagonal brass bar.
I will never use it all on my lathe, so I would like to sell it and give some money back to the kindly neighbour who gave it to me.
If I take it to a scrap yard, I will get about a quarter of what it is worth, compared to selling it on ebay.....but I would have to ask a lot for postage on ebay.
The regular sellers on ebay seem to be able to sell heavy stuf post free.

Is there any other way I could sell it to get a reasonable amount of money?
The round bar is about 7/8" diameter, and the hexagon is 1 1/8" across the flats, plus a few smaller bits. The lengths vary from 6" to 15".

Thanks for any suggestions.
John

Those sellers price stuff to include the postage in their margin so it appears to be "post free" but it isn't really.

You can advertise on Ebay as collection only, so will likely sell to someone local or someone who passes regularly.
You could also try some of the other selling platforms as collection only :tu1: gumtree etc

Bump!

There are not as many model engineers and live steam enthusiasts around as I thought.

Anyone needing a piece of cheap brass....I have got plenty left.

P.M. me. Thanks
John.
