A bit of a let down again in my area. I went out on my BSA (folding 1970s bike ) and only saw 2 classic vehicles.
A trafalgar blue G reg minor saloon and something sporty that I did not recognise.

We drove to Motor Hub Bibury, for the drive it day event, sold out ticket only.
Lots of cars from pre-war to modern super cars. Also the hubs selection of classic cars for sale but alas only one Minor.
Also lots of classic cars around on way home through cotswolds.

I went to the Lincolnshire Road Transport Museum in Lincoln.
We were followed in the gate by another Black 2dr SII, which parked next to us.
In my rush to familiarise myself with the lie of the land, as it were, I foolishly thought I'll get a photo later but about an hour later when I popped back, they had already left.
Saw some interesting vehicles, I really liked this immaculate 1966 LHD Split Screen VW Kombi Crewbus, with the rear half canvas tilt.
Look closely and you can see the wipers are secured in the centre off the windscreens What was really surprising was finding a bus that I may well have travelled on as a youngster, a 1954 AEC London Transport country area double decker.
Beautifully restored to it's 1960s livery. Just hard to get decent pictures in the garage.

This is our Traveller parked up for lunch at The Blue Boar Inn near Alcester.

We saw more classics out and about today than we ever have before on Drive it Day. A convoy of 7 Hillman Imps and Huskys along with a Ford Fiesta on their way to Broadway Tower, a group of several dozen MGs of all ages and a couple of WWII Jeeps along with loads of other cars on their own or in small groups, as well as several old motorbikes.

The weather was perfect today, which may have helped improve the turnout, and we had a great drive out.

At the Beaulieu Motor Museum today. Very enjoyable.

Looks like all had a good time, and the weather helped immensely.

A defective headlamp prevented my Traveller from taking part, but I did take the Micra to Old Sodbury where there were 50-60 cars of various marque at the Cross Hands for their monthly meet. A load of Minors from Bristol Branch went off on a run to the REME museum in Wilts, on a memorial run in memory of late Branch member Peter Howes, who passed on late last year.

Our lot went to Jodrell Bank radio telescope. Eclectic bunch - just 2 minors on the day.

I had that, it turned out to be an earth wire, not the lamp at all.

Mine was the main beam. Managed to borrow one now, but not before yesterday's run. Two halogens now on order.

New halogens fitted, they seem good but it's a bit difficult to tell when it's dusk and you've still got your shades on!
