Putting all the Traveller rear bits back on!!

So my traveller came with everything removed from the rear and new timber except a couple of bits where members are helping me with.
It is a bit of a jigsaw getting it back together. My approach is to loose fit things as I go along, scratch head, and consider getting the whole thing on.
Is there merit in considering the 'factory approach'... build the entire back ( sans doors) and chuck it on? ( after the loose fit exercise of course!).
Currently I have fitted one side, It would not fit but shaving just 5 mm off a small section of the wood where it sits on the inner wing rectified this!
That side fits fine now so a repeat of the other side should be a good start? Eventual rear door fit should be ensured by the lower rail and the upper roof strut . ( then the corner post stiffening plate).
On this subject it appears that, for example, the roof strut really needs the special metal brackets if it is to have any strength and at the bottom the lower rails and the post stiffener both need to be screwed to the posts before final fitting of the sides.
I believe that I can trial fit the wings and mark where the screws will go and final fit them when the frames are on?
So please, just to recap. I propose to ensure that both sides fit to the B posts correctly over the wheel arches and in the right place at the back ( ensured by the lower and the upper rails ( and also that the doors will fit the aperture ! ) I would mark where the post stiffeners have to be fitted to the posts. I would check the wings and mark the screw positions but not final fit.
I could then fit the aluminium side panels and then the upper and lower rails across the back plus the post stiffeners including the corner brackets to the upper rail. I think the entire back could then be lifted back onto the body with a reasonable chance that it will all fit?
That's an outline of my strategy and I will value your opinions and experience on it !!
