Managed to replace the webbing straps and foam thanks to your good advice !! ( and my wife's assistance and forbearance !)
Just refitting the cover and struggling with the rubber pipe which holds the seat base cover in a groove,
Came out easy peasy !! My 84 year old arthritic hands are suffering and I thought that there may just be some knack or simple 'tool' I can use?
Over to the experts!!
(I have searched on line!)

No. it is a difficult thing to do. I find that no matter how hard it is to push in place it finds an easy way to come back out, I persevered and eventually it stayed in place. very frustrating.

At least its not just me!! I did persevere and it all seems ok. The curved bits were the most difficult especially as there are inevitable folds in the vinyl.
One small tip, in stretching the straps ,from me is to make one of the 'hems' which hold the wire connecter in place big enough to get a large screwdriver blade in. This helped me get a good two handed pull on the strap and my wife was able to pull the connectors into the holes with pliers.
