Seat adjuster

My Traveller came to me with odd seats, a Newton Commercial driver's seat and a standard passenger seat. Since the design of the Newton Commercial has since been altered, I can't get a matching passenger seat but since I think they are rather bulky and since I like the idea of a folding passenger seat, I have decided to fit a standard driver's seat and folding passenger seat. However, I have modified them to accept MGB/MG Midget head restraints and made an anti tip device, similar to those found on Minis from around 1980 onwards. I have also strengthened the bottom of the driver's seat backrest, as I have seen one let go!!
The basis for the conversion were two used seats. The seat job has been a fill in job and I can't quite work out where the return spring fits for the driver's seat adjuster fits. In the first attachment, the adjuster lever is fitted with the handle facing towards the centre of the car, where the weight of the lever would naturally keep it in the positioning notches. However this would mean the spring would pull it downwards and I can't see where the spring would go for that. Being a fill in job (Started before I started on mechanical jobs and finished after they were finished!!), it's quite a while since I did the driver's seat frame (Which came to me without upholstery, which is why I did it first)!! Has anyone got a picture of a seat adjuster?
I have more or less got the bits trial fitted and once all is well, I can paint the seat frames, get the various bits zinc plated and the seats upholstered.
