Traveller Closing panel

Trying to locate a repair panel for my traveller. Its the bit that the front 'foot' of the wooden side panel will sit on,
the panel shown in ESMs part list looks similar. Can anyone confirm this please? The existing one is rotten, I guess I could just weld a plate in at the same height I guess this is critical ? I guess ( again ) that the wood will sit on mastic ? I see that there are drilled holes in the remnants of my plate, possibly there were screws used here?
Most grateful for any advice on this please.

If this is the one you mean I just folded my own out of steel sheet and screwed it in place to the foot with seam sealer along the other seam. So far it hasn't fell off :D

Yes, I am answering some of my questions. Apologies that I have not mastered the art of searching on this site! Searching off the site I see various comments, from members, and debate on this subject. Apparently the panel is not welded in but is just screwed on to the wood protect the timber. My disintegrating plate had been welded in. I will buy the ESM part but propose to just cut out the rotten plate.
I will be checking the fit of the wooden side frame by loose fitting the bolts to the post.
