“Lucy” LCY 171 nearly ready 🤞🤞

My names Pete and my dad (Graham) bought LCY171 (1954 4 door Series 2) from a vicar in Pontardawe when I was 6 and the car was 4! It was our family’s everyday car until he put the car in his lock up in 1978! It stayed there virtually untouched apart from oiling the bores and cranking the starter handle 2 or 3 times a year. We went everywhere in it holidays, fishing and surfing etc. My brother and I learned to drive in it.
Graham sadly died 14/2/2007 and I always knew that Lucy would pass to me to return her to the road once again.
She was transported to my garage in Pembrokeshire later that year and remained dry and safe awaiting the days when I had time and energy to bring her exterior in Clarendon Grey back to as neat as possible in cellulose. However the job was far too much a task for me to get her looking as good externally as I could. Having wasted an age rubbing down priming in grey etc I threw in the towel and decided to get a full external respray requiring a sandblast to get it back to bare metal. The car went in to a local coach works in November and fitting work in between the normal modern repairs finally is returning to me this week to add on all the exteriors.
The issue is a mouse or mice has chewed and damaged the crimson red seats and door cards to the point that to return these to a car that looks so lovely externally would be such a shame.
I missed the deadline to get a wanted add in the MM Magazine that arrived this week by a few days so (I know it’s the wrong place to put a request) BUT if anyone can help in me in obtaining an interior set or seats and cards with patina but no mouse holes or rips
I would be a very happy chap.
I will be able to fit out Lucy and take her on her first trip abroad to France for our 2026 Whit week Minors On Tour trip. We went last Whitsun to MOT25 (our first time and we loved it!) in our 1966 Traveller. If I can’t get Lucy ready we will go again in the Traveller.
