Spraying front wings

I am about to spray my car it is in primer and panels have been trial fitted is it best to leave the front wings on and spray them in situ or take them off and paint them individually . The reason in leaving them fitted is I would like to seal the small gap between the inner and outer wing comments please

Personally, I would leave the front wings and doors ON when spraying the car. I have recently completed this job on my own car. The new wings required quite a bit of work in order to fit well and once done, I didn't want to remove them again! I had painted all the inner surfaces prior to final fitting and then filled the gap you mention with caulking which made a very neat job. I had fitted the front panel to aid alignment but removed it prior to spraying and sprayed that, the bonnet, bootlid, rear wings and sundry smaller parts separately. Other people will have different ideas but the scope for chipping paint if you fit the front wings and/or doors after painting them is too great for me! Good luck however you choose to do it

Pretty much what I was thinking of doing except I will be removing the doors

I always spray bolton panels off the vehicle, if you don't to you can't get any paint on the bolt flange or on the return by the door post and that will give you corrosion issues in the future,
Remember that primer is porous so will allow rust to form straight away.
