Assuming you are replacing the windscreen seal?.

COH Baines make and sells the seal, ESM also sells it.

The difficulty people have fitting the seal isn't down to the quality or design of the seal. Fitting the seal is difficult as modern rubber is harder than the original, so it isn't as flexible and doesn't compress so well.

There are a few posts on the fitting that are useful. Best replace the seal when the weather is warmer.

I'm sorry, but I'm going to chime in and disagree with the last post.
I did my replacement of the windscreen seal a bit over a year ago.
The issues people face have nothing to do with the rubber, it IS an issue with the design of the seal. There is insufficient allowance of both the size of the rubber lip and channel to properly 'grab' the body to hold the screen in. The lip/flange on the inside of the seal is significantly narrower than the original and the actual channel that holds the glass is narrower so original glass won't fit.

Before I bought my seal, I did a lot of research trying to source one that was different to all the ones people had complained about.
What I discovered was that there have been complaints on forum posts all over the world for in excess of 14 years. They ALL complain about the same things.
I also discovered that all the different images of seals for sale all had tell tale hints that they had come from the same main manufacturer/distributor despite what the ad may say. The tag on the string is an obvious example here.

I opted for the least worse case scenario and bought new, narrowed glass to go with the seal from ESM and then sought advice from a local very experienced windscreen installer. (Who winced when I mentioned it). He guided me to also use a modern sealant/adhesive that he uses to ensure it was also well glued into place.

I recommend you do the same..

Its always a worry when the split-screen window rubber has to be replaced! As reported, numerous people have had problems both fitting the rubber and screen and dealing with leaks afterwards because it doesn't fit quite as it should. I had mine replaced about 11 years ago and they found it a bit of a fiddle to install. I bet they winced a bit as well! However, it does look right (no lifting at the corners etc.), although it did leak, both from between the glass and the seal and the body and the seal. Some mastic between the glass/rubber sorted that one, but the leak between the body/seal was more difficult - it seems they tore the rubber under the chrome trim when fitting and it took a while to discover this and a few attempts to seal it. Luckily, the torn bit is hidden by the trim and it no longer leaks. The original glass was re-used. I got the rubber from Bull Motif, but they don't do Minor parts now....

ESM list glass where the edges are reshaped to make a better fit. They refer to it as 'undersize' glass.
