Rear window water leak

I'm currently chasing down water ingress into my 2 door 68 minor, I seem to have got most but don't seem to be able to seal the rear screen, the car was restored around 3 years ago by the previous owner and had all new window rubbers fitted which are slip soft and supple, the glass all seemed a little lose in all the rubbers and had water coming between glass and rubber which sealed with a window mastic but the rear window keeps leaking a small amount rubber to glass but more rubber to body, I have used window mastic twice which has slowed leaks but just don't seem to be able to cure leaks. Has anyone come across this before or any good tips for sealing as it would be much appreciated.

Not all seals are the same, some are better than others ...
maybe someone on here can enlighten us on which suppliers seals are a better fit than others ?

funny enough ordered that on a recommendation from dog walking pal all my rubber is i think original 1959 could do with replacing but i think this could open a can of worms i do not want to go down as moment got to be better than mastic 1st post done

Thanks for the advice, I tried Captain Tolleys again giving it 2 applications and allowed to fully dry, unfortunately checked again today and still a small amount of leakage although not rained too much on it yet, so looks like I'm going to need to change the screen rubber, with that in mind can anyone recommend a make or supplier of rear screen rubber that they have tried and worked please. For now I think I will be using sealer around the rubber to keep things dry until the weather improves as unfortunately Molly lives outside in all weather I have removed the rear carpets and made sure the floor is well rust proofed. Cap'n Tolley is good for small leaks, but you might want to get some of that black mastic windscreen sealant in between the rubbers and the glass/bodywork before you go down the route of a new rubber, especially if the present one is fairly new.

Do not be mean on the application of Captain Tolley's.
My stepsons Ford had a very bad leaking rear window seal and several applications of Captain Tolley's cured it.
My neighbour had a very bad leak to his extension roof light and on my recommendation applied several layers of Captain Tolley's which saw it right. No more leaks to either window.

Hi just an update, I have managed to reduce a lot of the leaks so now only a small amount coming in, unfortunately I have had to mask up and run a bead of sealant around rear window and rear quarter window rubbers both to bodywork and glass, there still seems to be tiny drips in channel below rear window which drips into boot and under rear seat but far better than before when you could see it running in. Next time it dries up for a few days I will have another go with the captain Tolleys to see if this finally cures this until I get around to changing all window rubbers for better quality replacements.
