Morris Minor Owners Club

I'm a new MMOC member having acquired my Morris Minor Van ROR456G at Christmas. I'd be grateful for any information on the history of this lovely van. She was first registered in 1969 and the V5 says there have been 10 registered keepers before me. Colour is white but I do not know if this is the original colour as the exterior bodywork has been resprayed recently. I have maintained the historic vehicle registration and there are no MoT results on the DVLA website. The previous owner posted a picture on Facebook sometime in the last couple of years but beyond that I haven't found anything else yet. ROR in the number plate seems to indicate initial registration in the Oxford area (from the OR) if my interpretation is correct. The van is now in South Cheshire having come here from South Wales, is in good condition and still drives well.

Any information or help most appreciated. Thank you.

If you want to know what the original colour was then you can apply for a Heritage Certificate here: https://www.britishmotormuseum.co.uk/ar ... rtificates

This will also tell you other interesting information such as the serial numbers of the engine, gearbox, rear axle and the build date as well as key numbers, which dealer it was supplied to etc. This will help you to determine how original, or not, the vehicle is.

I have a comprehensive list of LCV registrations with details in a booklet from 2001 but after checking, there is no mention of your number unfortunately.

Have ROR 456G listed, cab nos should be 208xxx, engine in the 36xxxx..Zzzzzz he's off again....

You know Chris, I completely agree with you, entertainment in the form of cruelty, I once complained to the programme makers, they told me there were vets present, pathetic, as if you can trample on things and they’ll be ok. The presenters have no qualms, anything for a bit more money.
