Has anyone had any experience of the L.O.F clutch kit for the 1098cc Minor?

The kit is part of their 'Classic' range. There is some evidence that they are well regarded within the Land Rover 4WD community.

MCCS Engineering Ltd, who build 'A' series engines for motorsport stock them.

I will need a clutch for a 1098cc in the future but wouldn't touch any of the Chinese offerings currently available (Borg & Beck, Girling etc) - I'm currently looking for NOS clutch parts and stumbled across L.O.F.

Hi I can highly recommend Precision Clutch Components based in Somerset, check out their web page, worth calling them. They supplied me with a relined centre plate ,rebuilt cover and new release bearing to OEM spec , all done in their workshop ,father & son old school business based in the UK.I supplied my engine builder Calver ST with a 'New Chinese Borg & Beck' cover & plate which he refused to fit due to poor quality ,so after several hours of research found PCC & problem solved.
hope this helps

I second Precision Clutch Components who supplied me with a genuine Borg and Beck (not Chinese) rebuilt clutch and carbon release bearing. Not cheap but a clutch should last a very long time with the mileage most of us do these days.

Just to round this one off - I sent my original 1971 Borg and Beck 'made in England' clutch (pressure plate, disc and release bearing) off to Precision Clutch Components to be rebuilt.

They turned it around in a few days and it was on my doorstep a few days thereafter. The quality of the rebuild is excellent.

The cost (excluding P&P) was only £30 more than a Chinese manufactured 'Borg & Beck' clutch. I have had experience of Chinese Borg and Beck products fitted to other vehicles and having seen the quality avoid them like the plague as they are, like most Chinese sourced automotive components, pure garbage.

I would highly recommend Precision Clutch Components - thanks for the recommendations!
