Just purely out of interest… and I know the colour of the car really doesn’t matter in the grand scheme of things… but I’m curious to know, how much did the car’s colour influence your decision to buy? Did you have a colour in mind or did it just not factor in at all?
What are people’s favourite colours too?

It was probably the reason if I'm honest, the Almond Green matching with the Porcelain Green/Beige Duotone seating....

Colour had zero influence on my purchase many years ago. Condition, price and availability were the concerns.

In fact, I didn't like the colour of my car back then. Smoke Grey reminded me too much of the invalid carriages (as they were called then) of yesteryear. As the years have gone by I have grown to love the colour and many other people comment on how much they like the colour too.

I’m trying not to let colour influence my decision when I get my first mog, but I must admit it’s hard. Almond green is definitely my favourite!

Colour is usually not a deal breaker for us if everything else is right, although we do have some 'less favoured' colours such as black and silver, although both the Discovery 2 and the F-Pace ended up being silver. Way back I spent 18 months looking for a Jaguar XK8, of which there are a number of nice colours I would have chosen, but once again I compromised on the colour to get the car I wanted. When it came to the Morris Jayne was adamant the Traveller must be Old English White. We ended up with Frilford Grey. As much as anything it is the paint and upholstery combination that matters. The Frilford Grey came with burgundy vinyl which is a super combination, but equally we have seen a lovey coloured car paired with what, to our mind, is totally inappropriate upholstery, but each to his own.

Yes I suppose it’s fine to have your preferences, but the price and condition of the car is the most important!

There aren’t any colours that I actively dislike, just ones that I don’t prefer compared to others… I’m ashamed to admit, if the little mog I had seen on Sunday had been almond green she would probably be sitting on my drive already haha

That said, prob for the best that she isn’t my preferred colour, save me making a rash decision!

Oh this looks the same colour as the mog I viewed… although I thought she was clipper blue… the seller didn’t tell me that, I just assumed going by her year of registration (1960)

Good choice, not that I am in any way biased....
I'm rather fond of maroon though, and would be tempted to look for one if I was ever mad enough to get a 2nd Minor.

If drag and drop doesn't work, click the Attachments tab (below the save draft, preview,submit buttons) and manually attach - clicking the inline button will add it to somewhere in your post at the cursors location.

I knew nothing about cars, so ended up with a total rust bucket - but the colour is still nice (though mine is a darker Almond Green to the factory original that my Mothers car has, likely because it had a respray during a previous ownership and subsequently this was colour matched at the one under my ownership).

Use this tab, either drag and drop or use the add files button and before pressing [Submit], press the Place Inline as that stops the silly white border you see on a lot of attachments....

This is Daisy who I met at the weekend. My filters on my ipad make her look a bright, almost azure blue, but she was closer to a duck egg blue irl

I always fancied a smoke grey traveller after seeing one at a show many years ago but when I was ready to buy one non were to be found.Instead I found Ted resplendent in Bermuda blue, which I love, unfortunately the car wasn't as good as it looked and a few years later I has to restore him.
I scratched my smoke grey itch a few years later though when I restored our Commer Auto-Sleeper
He used to be Triumph damson (maroon) but this is closer to his original colour although he does look a bit bluer then normal here.

Both are lovely. I’m not entirely sure if Daisy is smoke grey or clipper blue. I will have to check that!

Haha so it’s not just me who is fussy! I’m not a fan of red myself. To be honest all the mog colours I’ve seen are nice, there are none that I actively dislike… Just that green is my favourite colour. But that’s not to say my car has to be green!

I don't like yellow either and red because it fades so badly. Black I'm not fond of because it is difficult to see and shows every scratch.

I was slightly biased, my dad had an almond green traveller when I was a kid,
he also had a grey one, but the green swung it for me,

I always think the cars shape really defines which colours work and which don't.
