Budget

Post by mike1864 »

It seems that the fears in some quarters that classic cars might be impacted in the Budget have been allayed.
Several other forums are noting that the VED exemption for 40+ year old cars is being retained. Ditto for the MOT exemption.
That said, I can't trace an actual Budget document that says these concessions ARE being retained; it's apparently just that there's no mention of their NOT being retained!

Unsurprisingly, the Government doesn't list all the things they are not changing, because it would be a very long document....

Plus, MOT exemption is a DVLA/DfT matter, not the Treasury.
