More CKD than other CKD...

Somewhere recently, I read something about a CKD Convertible with extra strengthening on the firewall.
It may have been here, or somewhere on farcebook.

Well today I stumbled across mention of the earliest CKD cars literally being cut down to the level of the inner wings.
Hence why the extra strap on the firewall.
The mention included a link to film of highlight MM at the Dutch Assembly plant, around 1950.

About 1:50, you can clearly see the lower part of the car cut off to about knee level in the passenger compartment. Not to any of the expected break points of panels in the 1000 Parts Lists. :-?
Perhaps that's the difference, could it be that only MM/early SII could be split at that point? I've no idea.
Music on the 1st video is a bit mind numbing, 2nd one is silent.

I put these photos in Minor Matters some months ago of an imported Series III, CKD Traveller assembled originally in Durban, South Africa. It was at Ian Allen's in Witchford, for some work and led to some head scratching before the solution was hit upon.
