I've recently got back from 2 weeks in Orlando, a family trip centred on a 10 year old granddaughter and her obsession with Harry Potter, so essentially visiting Universal Studios almost every day.
However, we changed accommodation after the first week, for logistical reasons I won't bore you with, and I discovered the ORLANDO AUTO MUSEUM was within walking distance, Quote ....."one of the world’s most captivating collections, housing over 2,000 vehicles that collectively represent a staggering $200 million dollar value"....https://orlandoautomuseum.com/
It is quite a wonderful collection, with many classics from around the world and many film/TV models, across 20+ exhibition rooms, including... So I highly recommend an afternoon there for anyone going to Orlando for Universal or Disney Theme Parks.... we happily spent 4 or 5 hours exploring... At current exchange rates, general admission is around £25 Adult, £20 Seniors. A fraction of the collection can be seen without paying admission, so you can always get a feel for the place before committing to entry.

Awesome. Not sure if I can just nip over the pond for a trip the car museum but my wife does have friends in Florida so maybe when we visit them...

So, there were a few cars with UK registrations, including some Minors, and surprisingly some Eastern Block models, like Russian and East German from long ago. These few I caught the registrations of, there were too many to photo everything.... .
Being a little bit special with my enquiring mind, I checked out the registrations... The observant amongst you may note that the Trabbant is a Model not a Make and on the one with the correct make, Sachsenring, has an 's' missing on the DVLA records.

To my surprise I found that they have never officially left the UK. I can understand the DVLA database having the occasional error because perhaps a Pole has driven home in a car from the UK prior to B*exit (that happened to a Mitsubishi I sold in the 90s which is still un-taxed with DVLA), but these have all be shipped to the USA for crying out loud!

At least Bond's Aston Martin is no longer on the DVLA database, but then it did have revolving number plates....

Looks like a great time! I'd like to go, myself, it's only an hour or so away.
