New fuel pipe

Good afternoon all, I have had some very useful advise here for the various problems arising with my 1956 split screen, many thanks.
I now have yet another problem I am hoping to get some help with. Whilst fitting a new fuel pump, the fuel line split. Having bought a new copper fuel pipe, I removed the original pipe and started fitting the new pipe. As I started to tighten the new connection to the fuel tank, the thread on the male fuel tank end sheared off, leaving part of the threaded portion in the tank connector and holding the pipe end in the connector. Any ideas how to get this out? Thanks in advance.
