So on my 1967 I have 3 wires to the wiper switch, Green, Black and Green and Black. The switch has 4 terminals, 1, 5 and 6 combined, 7 and 8. Please can someone tell me what goes where?
Thanks

Sorry about this. I got confused with my reply. I found a photo of the wires to my wiper switch from when I replaced the loom and I posted this but I then couldn't remember if this was before I corrected a problem or after!

If nobody else replies I will take a photo of my switch wiring as it is now, everything working, when I get a chance. It does mean I need to move the speedo forwards to take a photo so I can't do it immediately.

Basically, the wiper switch switches the earth to the wiper motor. Green/black is from the wiper motor. Black is earth. When the switch is ON, green/black should be connected to earth via the switch.

To confuse matters though the green (no trace) wire also connects to the wiper switch and this goes to the heater motor! It definitely is not shown like this in the wiring diagram but it is definitely correct. I did check this with the Morris Minor workshop who know the cars with their eyes shut and they confirmed it. I also took a picture before I removed the old loom.

So.......green connects to the top left terminal of the switch. Green/black connects to the middle of the switch on the right hand side. Black connects to a terminal on the bottom of the switch.

You're welcome. It's very confusing that it is wired like this. That green wire at the wiper switch is from the heater but it is using the wiper switch as an earthing point. You would expect that wire from the heater to be black as an earth not green! This does mean that for the heater to work properly the other wire from the heater must be connected to live. This is usually a bullet connection in the area behind the speedo.
