I have 13" wire wheels fitted to my minor, that apparently came off an MG Midget many many years ago. Anyway I noticed that one of the hubs has a slight buckle so want to replace it, I thought I had the correct one but what I have and what I have purchased are quire different.

I can't seem to find the matching rear hub as pictured below (It's behind all the muck and grease)

This is what I purchased in error:

Your replacement is an aftermarket item designed to go on the outside of the drums to convert the wheels. Although on the rear a spacer may be required to clear the hump of the half shaft. Does the old one have internal splines for the half shaft? It looks like an original Spridget rear hub that would be behind the drum, but the flange is too thick. It could just be a different design of a bolt on adapter. Triumph adapters would have a 3.75 PCD rather than 4 inch.

The Spridget/Midget hub adapter just bolts on the outside of the drum using the four wheel nuts. There is nothing special about the adapter other than the fact that the L/H adapters are L/H thread.
Using the Sprite/Midget hub adapters is an easy way of fitting wirer wheels to a Minor.
I would suggest that the hub adapter shown in the OPs photo is not Sprite or Midget when compared to the part shown in the link below:-
