First drive out

Post by Farvie »

At long last I was able to take my moggy with no name yet out for a drive around the block to see how it ran.
It was pleasantly surprising how nice it drove, went a bit wide going round the bend lol steering wheel feels massive
Returned home to check it over for any leaks of any kind, all Good.
Had a few more short trips and everything is good.
Insurance was only £69 fully comp for my wife and I.

I’ve had lots of help and advice on the Forum and I thank you all for your help.

When I was learning to drive at age 17 on my Minor one of my many faults was taking left-hand turns too fast. With the big steering wheel you have to “feed the wheel” through your hands. Also a rear wheel drive handles a bit differently to a fwd car.

"It was pleasantly surprising how nice it drove....." A Morris Minor is celebrated for its light and responsive steering.

"Insurance was only £69 fully comp for my wife and I." Ideal - can you tell us who you are insured with? Sounds like they may be worth considering when renewal is due in the future.
