Morning all

Having just been to Moggyfest, and has a great time, ive noticed something about my Traveller. I seem to have a different rear door handle to all the others, both older and younger. Is mine OEM? or an aftermarket mod/repair?

Thanks

Ah just remembered Google Image search! Seems i have either a Mini Countryman or a Morris Oxford Traveller handle. TBH i prefer this to the standard fitment, more subtle :-)

Also no idea why pic is turned 90º. Original file is ok. Any idea how i rotate images in future after they have been added/uploaded?

Your handle definitely non standard, but I too prefer it to original. As well as being balanced, the twin arms make it more difficult to attack the retaining screws.

The picture rotation is due to the metadata captured when you took the photo.

Wes,

I have had the same issue with pictures posted being at strange orientation. Svendin suggested making a minor edit before posting as a fix. Since then I use the auto correct levels function before posting and they come out as they should. May be worth a try?

Cheers

Andrew

I agree with the comments about the metadata, which can often result in the image being sideways, or even upside down.
It's not even accurate in detecting the orientation of the image when taken.
Most photos I post on here are ones that have been download to my PC from camera or more often than not, my phone.
As displayed on the PC, both as preview icon images and when opened in a viewer programme/app they are as I intended.
Yet on uploading to here, they often are rotated 90 or 180 deg, which is seen by using the [preview] function.
I then delete the attached file, rotate the image a full 360 in the viewer/editor and re-save.
Still looks the same on the PC, but now when uploaded, the message board agrees with the PC
Here's an example.
I clearly took this image with my phone held Portrait, but angled down. It's the mirror on the window frame.
It shows as portrait on my PC.
But not here.

I rotated 360 degrees and saved with an A suffix on the file name so it wouldn't overwrite.

Both show the same in the File folder... It's just weird metadata stuff....
