I just wanted to check that EP80W-90 1L GL4 is the oil for the diff, pretty sure this is what I put in before it all leaked out over time (was under the car tightening the plug earlier) but figured I'd check before buying a new litre, Thanks

I've got Castrol Diff EPX 80W-90 GL4 in mine which sounds like much the same stuff.

Yes. GL4. You can also use some GL5 oils but only if the bottle specifically states “yellow metal safe”

Personally I would not go anywhere near a GL5 oil.

New bottle arriving tomorrow, and I guess the silver lining is that I won't need to drain the old oil into a container
