I plan to buy a rebuilt exchange steering rack from ESM.

Would you recommend ESM or is there someone you'd recommend instead?

Prices seem similar across all the suppliers, I have no idea about quality.

I usually stick with who you know. I have never bought a steering rack, but I have never has a problem with this supplier or any of the other mainstream supplier.

Rack from ESM arrived promptly. Garage man took two and half hours including tracking, checking and greasing trunnions etc.

All straightforward except one mounting bolt had fused itself to a rack support and needed significant persuasion. Also wrapping up the old rack for return turned into something of an epic.

When you think about it roughly £60 for a recon rack is not a lot of money bearing in mind labour costs, courier etc...but then if you have a shed full of old bits and your bench set up organised it probably doesn't take too long.
