Would a 1958 morris minor 1000 have had leather seats?

It was a period of what you might call a wide variety of trim.
Some seats had contrasting seams, some didn't, etc.
If the car was standard, then probably 'leathercloth', i.e. faux-leather; if Deluxe, then leather facing with leathercloth side and rear panels.
