Re: Fibreglass valance
I purchased new front and rear fibreglass valances for one of my cars in 1989. Rubbed them down thoroughly with dry 180 grit paper, sprayed them with 2 coats of high build etch primer and then 2 or 3 coats of gloss to finish. They still look good to this day. The main thing with fibreglass is to rub it down well to get a good key I think. Use a good spirit wipe prior to painting too and make sure the surface is completely dry. The better quality paint you use, the better finish you'll achieve. I've never skimped on materials. Buy the best you can get if you want a good, lasting job.

Hi many thanks for your reply.
I’m in middle of doing the valance and I have done what you have suggested. Thanks again Mike.
