Instrument cluster glass seal

Took the cluster bezel off to clean the glass lens and the bezel itself; the rubber seal was absolutely perished; what do you suggest for a replacement?

You can buy 1.5mm rubber O ring cord, cut it to length, glue ends together making a large O ring of suitable size.
