Front wing to front panel rubber seal

I have fitted new metal wings to my 1959 2 door and I have obtained the rubber seal that fits between the wing and the front panel. Each seal is about 10 inches long a moulded channel on either side but I can't for the life of me work out where it fits. If anyone could post instructions, or better still a photo of the seal in situ I would be extremely obliged.

Hi Richard,

I’ve got the front panel off my car at the moment as the engine needs some work so I was able to take this photo.

I’m assuming that this is the seal you’re talking about and that I’ve put mine in the right place!

Hope this helps.

I've never seen one of those seals. I looked in AKD3542 and I could not find this part. What is it supposed to do?

They just keep some of the dirt out of the engine bay. Every Morris Minor I've ever owned has had them fitted .

Well then I had better get a pair because I am not quite ready to refit the front panel. Perfect timing!
