I guess the easiest way is ~£11 for a new cylinder.
Or a few quid for another banjo if it is one of the rear bleed nipples.

If you're desparate, a screw extractor might (NB MIGHT) get it out, but might also leave small bits of metal inside the cylinder/hydtulics. For the sake of safety, go with Ray's advice...

Thanks for the replys,
but i tried an extractor all it did was chew up the remaining soft metal of the nipple making the hole bigger but not gripping enough to remove. unfortunatly with the marina disc caliper the nipple screws into the caliper itself so it looks like a new caliper is needed.(i'll replace both to be on the safe side.)

Ah - I'd missed the comment about disk brakes! That really is unfortunate

In which case (and someone will, I hope, post safety advice after this, I'm only guessing) wouldn't it be possible to re-tap the thread in the caliper? I hope so - one of my Marina ones is stuck as well, though not (yet) sheared, but I'll bet 5p it does...

Apply lots of heat - then easy out. Still stuck - drill it out - very carefully at the end so you can pick the last few threads out. Is it 3/8 unf - or m10x1 ?
