I'd like to add some auxillary dials (temp/clock) and switches (car already has USB, 12V power point, heated screens and fog lights switched) but rather than slung under the dash adhoc as they currently are i've seen a pic of them mounted in/on a LHD Minor passenger glove box lid behind the steering wheel matching the current nearside lid. But cant for the life of me find anyone who sells LHD Morris passenger glove box lids. any ideas/leads? thanks

You won't. Nobody sells new Glovebox lids, of any era. Just not enough demand to make them viable.

You just have to keep an eye out at Autojumbles or on places like ebay. Whichever style is appropriate for your car, or needs.
many people seeking to do what you are thinking of simply make a panel to fit the hole.

Yes i was thinking about maybe a machine turned panel that sits inside the drivers glove box aperture and then i saw this pic and it made me think. But extensive search on tinterweb and nothing. Now where did i put that drawing board...

The advantage of making a panel is that you don't ruin a glovebox lid. Once a glovebox lid has holes drilled in it for dials it is useless as an original part.

The lid behind the steering wheel in the picture is more than likely a modified Series MM/early Series 2 right hand lid that housed the fuel gauge, speedo and oil pressure gauges. You can buy them on eBay.

There is two ways you could go, a friend of mine has cut a infill panel, welded it in place ground down the welds and smoothed over ( sorry no pics as yet) or whatbi fid was make a infill plate set some m4 machine screws which then had penny washers fitted behind the cover which meant it be returned to a glove box later on.
