Rear lever arm suspension

When joining the drop arm to the damper should the taper fit be assembled dry, or greased. And am I correct in thinking the threaded bolt from the chassis is 5/16 Whitworth?

The tapered joint should be assembled dry.
The bolt is 5/16" BSF.
