So today I’ve had a disaster, driving out of the garage and didn’t realise the garage door wasn’t pinned back properly and as I drove out it closed against the bumper turning the steel fascia back at the corner,
What followed was some choice words so now I’ve calmed down a bit can anyone advise the quickest way to try and restore it back I know I’m not going to get a perfect fit without sending it off to a panel shop but just to make it look a bit tidier for now,
Someone advised taking it off and cushion it in a vice and bend it back, another has said heat it to help bend it back. I’ve attached a photo

Re: Bumper Pranged how to fix quick
It is not a disaster - I have seen worse rectified.
I would advise against heating the bumper blade - the chrome would most likely turn blue due to the heat.
I would separate the chrome bumper from the steel finisher and then bend the chrome bumper back into place.
With care it should be alright and without leaving too many tell tale marks.

@philthehill so the method of cushioning in a vice would work do you think?

If gripped in a vice use lead or aluminium vice pads so as not to mark the chrome.
Slow and steady will save the day (bumper).

I'd tease it back with a dolly and sandbag. Where are you based?
