Mid Green
Was Mid Green a Minor LCV colour option?
If so, what years was it used please?
Thanks. John

Re: Mid Green
No, not according to the Original Morris Minor.
Only the following:
Dark Green
Empire Green
Connaught Green
Almond Green
Everglade Green
If none of those suited, there was always a colour called 'primer'...
But then 'Mid Green' wasn't an actual colour name on any Minor, it was only a designation on the Chassis Plate 52-58 style.

Re: Mid Green
Do you know if all of those greens were used on LCV 's made in Birmingham, or did they reduce the choice?geoberni wrote: ↑Thu Oct 03, 2024 12:21 pm No, not according to the Original Morris Minor.

Re: Mid Green
I got those colours from 'Original Morris Minor'.
The relevant dates given are:
1953-56
Dark Green (To 2/55)
Empire Green (From 2/55)
1956-68
Empire Green (To 5/58)
Dark Green (5/58 - 2/59)
Connaught Green (2/59 - 10/61)
Almond Green (From 10/61)
1968-71
Everglade Green
Connaught Green
So I assume Almond Green stopped in 1968

Re: Mid Green
I have an 1951 Morris Minor Export High Light, owned since the mid 1980 with one previous owner. The colour is mist green I mention this as it does come up in the replies to the mid green conversations.

I'm guessing you're somewhere where the CKD Kits were delivered in grey primer, for local painting.AlanDRussell wrote: ↑Fri Oct 11, 2024 8:45 pm I have an 1951 Morris Minor Export High Light, owned since the mid 1980 with one previous owner. Re: Mid Green
To confirm Mist Green was produced in 1951 on Morris Minors for a short period. I have a 1951 MM export model with one previous owner I have the vehicle since the mid 80s. I can also confirm that the paint was produced in later models of the Austin /Rover group. The part number I have is Rover GN28 948 and have purchased a touch up bottle recently.

Re: Mid Green
Reading back what I previously posted, I've just realised I made a mistake and didn't include the MM in the paint names; I'm surprised nobody picked me up on it.AlanDRussell wrote: ↑Wed Oct 23, 2024 3:16 pm To confirm Mist Green was produced in 1951 on Morris Minors for a short period. I didn't include the options for the MM,
Mist Green was in use Sep 1950 to June 1952, in the car numbers range between 63542 and 151267.
Empire Green then replaced it .
All a bit of a rabbit hole, since the original question was about the term 'Mid Green'.
