Is this what I need to connect a mini temp guage to a 1098 radiator?

Well it certainly appears so from that spec list! It does not connect
to the radiator it goes into the cylinder head, replacing a large headed
bolt forward of the front spark plug. Check that your head has that
bolt. There is no washer fitted with the sender unit as it is a taper
thread. The electrical lead from the sender goes to one side of
the gauge and the other side goes to the voltage stabiliser,(light green).
If you are unlucky, just go to the nearest breakers and find a suitable
Mini.
