Hi guys

Chloe and I have had loads of trouble free motoring, decided to go away for a long weekend , Chloe got a lift to work this morning, I went to go out in the car a little while ago, pulled the choke out and something went twang , now the choke knob is all floppy , what I mean by floppy is there is no resistance when you pull it out and push it back in, I did have three attempts to see if she would start or not, She will start, but just stalls straight away, Am I right in thinking? That the choke cable has snapped ?

It certainly sounds as though the cable has snapped.
Is it possible to have someone look under the carburettor when the choke is pulled out? That piece arrowed should move down. Also the mechanism above and to the right of the arrow should move. That is what the cable is attached to.
The end of the cable might have only pulled out of that mechanism and still be intact.

You can still manage to start the car without the choke cable if you pull the part downwards that the choke cable operated on, the piece arrowed in the picture. You could hold it down, maybe with a clothes peg until the car is warm then let it return.
