Damper Nut
Can anyone identify the thread size of the damper to spindle nut outlined in the photo.

The factory fitted nuts are 1/2" BSF.
Later nuts can be 1/2" UNF as the threads on the pattern trunnion pins are UNF.
As an aside I find the later pattern upper UNF trunnion pins with the one piece thick washer to be better made than the genuine BMC article.
If you are going to replace the trunnion bushes I would advise that the rubber bushes are replaced with well greased poly bushes. Fitting a grease nipple to the underside of the trunnion eye pays dividends.
