Hi everyone,
Does anyone know where I could possibly purchase paint for my moggie? It is Trafalgar Blue. I would need enough for the roof and boot lid.
Regards, Gary

Vehicle paint comes in three forms.

Single pack, what some would call cellulose
2pk, the one with cyanide in,
Voc " compliant" which is water based.

Most suppliers will not sell you 2pk and it's really not advisable unless you have the breathing apparatus and a booth to contain the over spray.

Voc / compliant paint is ideal for home use as it's water based but requires the correct spray gun and is a pain if you've never used it before. Oh and you still need to lacquer it once the colour coat is on in either single pk or 2 pk lacquer.

So your really looking at single pack paint. Lots of body shop suppliers no longer supply much in the way of single pack as demand is limited. But if you Google "vehicle paint supplies" vehicle refinishing supplies" you should find your local supplier.

I seriously question only needing enough for the Boot and the Roof.

Especially Trafalgar Blue, which is well known for being two very different shades in different eras.

Paint fades; if your after a reasonable match, you need to ge the paint matched by a paint specialist....

Paintman.co.uk does some standard vehicle colours in enamel. Enamel is not cheap but is 1k (one pack) so not horribly poisonous, gives a great gloss shine and can even be brush painted but, having tried, I don't recommend this 😁 best thinned a bit and sprayed.

Hi All.

I have just bought a 1964 Minor two door as shown. There is a car ID plate in the engine bay but I cannot determine what the paint colour is from it. Can anyone help?
