Morris Minor Owners Club

Trying to decide which day to attend the MMOC rally but can’t find any information as to what’s happening on each day. Does anybody know?

I’ve checked Minor Matters and the MMOC and Gaydon websites but can’t find any detail about what’s planned separately for the Saturday and Sunday.

Are there different things scheduled for different days or will both be the same?

Previous rallies I’ve attended saw the autojumble held on the Saturday, along with the trade stalls, etc, while the Sunday was reserved for the show and awards, etc.

Traders both days. Booters I think both days.
Museum open both days.
Highways Traffic Officers both days.
Sunday only Warwickshire Road Safety Partnership including VR headsets and fire engine.
Club shop both days.
Judging Sunday only.
All-comers driving challenge in the arena potentially both days.

Are member's Minors and general public's cars in the same area? Where are member's spares sales pitches?

I think the leaflet needs proof reading....

Only two members have booked for car boot, and so will be included amongst the other traders. It should be a good rally for spares with over 30 stalls expected.

There will be a completely separate car park for the public visiting the museum but not the rally. Modern cars will not be parked amongst Minors.

Thanks for the update. The car park thing is a relief. A pity that more members aren't selling spares. there is a treasure trove in people's sheds and garages, (Inc here in Uttlesford) but understandable given the entry fee, the pitch fee and accommodation on top.

Where do you get this information? We have booked for the rally, but just got emailed two tickets with QR codes, no other information.

That comes from the programme that will be handed out when you arrive. It hasn't even been printed yet, but what I posted is from a proof copy that the organising team got at the end of last week. There's a lot of work that goes into organising the rally, and volunteers to get involved are always welcome.

Timings:
Gates open 08:00 for Morris Minors.
All Branch Avenue and display cars must be in place by 10:00.
Museum and rally open to general public at 10:00.
