I've seen a few posts on the 123 but they seemed a bit general (although positive on the whole), has anyone used the SWITCH version (entry level, has 16 timing curve options). Was thinking of some kind of programmed system as I'm running a modified engine but this looks like a good compromise, you basically experiment with their maps til you find the thing that suits. Perhaps something more mini owners fiddle with? ;-)

I did some reading about the 123ignition distributors a while back. They look very well made and as a consequence they are expensive compared to the nasty Accuspark and Powerspark offerings. I got quite confused trying to work out what the various maps were for centrifugal advance and especially vacuum advance so in the end I had my original Lucas 25D4 rebuilt by Distributor Doctor and kept to the Kettering system (the points/contact breakers of which I have subsequently changed for Lumenition Optronic).

It's quite possible I will follow a similar path but having a few alternatives built in is a bit tempting...
