Is it a lowlight

What chassis number did the lowlights tourer finish at . April 51 with chassis number SMM 93424 was exported to USA and returned . Should it be a lowlight ? Thanks .

No. All Minors exported to the U.S. as new, starting in January 1949, were high lights. The modification was due to new headlamp-height requirements taking effect that year.
In 1949, the U.S. was the sole market that got highlights, and the factory lost a packet on each one. For 1950, ALL Minors sent to North America (meaning Canada too) got high lights to amortize the cost of the wing tooling over more vehicles.
So your March 1951 car would not have been a lowlight. The car with a serial number 1 before yours went to Canada, so it was most likely a batch of high-light cars that year destined for North America.
You could, however, confirm via a Heritage Certificate that it was manufactured for export. Can't recall if they give a destination market, though.
