Can I replace my dished steering wheel, with an original flat one, without changing the steeringcolumn/ indcatorstalk?

If you have the later dished type 3 spoke wheel, then it can't be interchanged with the earlier flat 3 spoke wheel as the later type is located with splines and the earlier type with a woodruff key. You will need to change the steering column and the indicator arrangement.
p.s. by 3 spoke I mean 3 groups of 4 spokes.

Will I then still be able to have self canceling indicators mounted on the steeringwheel?

Not without a bit of engineering. Your car (and all those with the early steering wheel) used trafficators only, so there's no mounting for the stalk type indicators, self-cancelling or otherwise!
Why not use the trafficator switch?

I have still got the trafficator switch, but that is connected to the trafficators..... and I don't use my trafficators around town, with all those cyclists. So linking them up with the indicators is not an option.

You could always put a hidden switch in to disable them for use around town...

Mine are on a seperate switch which is fine really. It's nice to have trafficators when the flashing indicators stop working or for showing off, but otherwise I don't use them.

I could make a seperate switch..... but then if I use my trafficators, I don't want any flashing indicators!

Well the possibilities are endless. You can construct a switching arrangement to suit your exact requirements!

I could.. or just stick with the dished steering wheel. There are some other minor jobs to do at the moment anyway, like a complete front end rebuild
