Messageboard still very slow - 5 second loading times.

I know I posted in the 'S L O W' thread a few days ago, but it's really slow compared to how it used to be.

I mean, it's 5 seconds - this might not sound much, but it used to be barely a second for a link to load and now every link I click on takes 5 seconds.

I decided to try it on Chrome, in case something weird was happening with Firefox, and Chrome also takes exactly 5 seconds.

Other sites are still as quick as ever on both browsers, so it's just the forums.

Interestingly enough I had to manually type in https:// in Chrome before the site would even load as it complained (when I just did board.mmoc....) that it wasn't an HTTPS connection.

Ironically, the main MMOC site which used to be quite slow is now as fast as the forums used to be, it's like the main site switched to the forums server and the forum switched to the main sites.

The main site and forum servers are operated by different companies, so no, they have not swapped over :-? Everything is still pointing to an intermittent network problem; but we will continue to seek a solution. Sorry for any temporary inconvenience, it just takes time, and that is in short supply.

Currently it's working as fast as it used to - it must be the power of you posting

And currently it's back to the 5 second slowdown.

Maybe this and my above post will allow you to log trace when you get the time :)
