Lucas 489 lamp rubbers

I am looking to replace the front sidelamp rubbers on my 1952 MM as they are rock hard and perished. I have found rubber seals which enclose the rear of the lamp holder and, as far as I was aware, also retain the chrome ring which goes over the glass lens and hold it in place. However, I have also found some rubber retaining seals for a 489 lamp. Any idea where they go and are there 2 parts to the rubber seal or just one?

As far as I'm aware, the L489 front clips onto the mounting plate with the rubber over the edge.
The L488 and L594 (they're the tall beehive ones) the separate chrome ring sits in the base rubber.

However, I've just been looking online for a Lucas catalogue.
I found this resource from the MGT society...

See P17. Gasket Rubber, 572775 seems to be applicable to some vehicles, including the Minor, but not all.
I've added a screenshot....

If you look towards the bottom of this page, it shows the Ring.
I'm wondering if it was only part of the original Lucas one and isn't on the reproductions?? :-? :-?

Thanks. Yes, I saw that but it is not clear where the gasket goes. It may sit under the chrome ring holding the glass lens tight, with the main rear rubber part (572763) holding the edges of the chrome ring down.

My '55 has been modified long ago to have L488s, but I've often wondered about fitting L489s; so your question set me looking, now I'm as puzzled as you are.... :)

Solved it.

See this item I found on ebay, old lens with mounting and rubber...
It looks as thought it secures the glass into the rim.
