I first found these petrol pumps back in the 1970s when touring the Golden Valley in Herefordshire.
In 2015 I visited the pumps again and met the owner. He also showed me around his workshop which was a little distance away in another part of the village.
He had just disposed a a large number of Morris Minor 1000 NOS body panels.
There was also a Minor 1000 which had been driven into one of the adjacent buildings many years ago as a part exchange and there it stayed. When I visited it was in the process of being extracted from its slumbers.
Comparing my photo below with those in the links above the pump globes were still in place when I made my visit in 2015. Hopefully they have been removed to a safe place.

Typical Daily Fail reporting, they can't make up their minds if it's in England or Wales....
Lovely place, if only I could afford it and wanted to move to the other side of the country....

Turnstone is in Herefordshire, England but was once occupied by mostly Welsh farmers.
It is in the area of the Welsh Marches. The border between England and Wales being regularly fought over in the past and would be fluid.
Because of the troublesome Welsh there are a numerous castles in the area which were built and occupied by the Normans. The castles are well worth a visit.
There are also a good selection of pubs in the area.

One of the best views of the Golden Valley and the area around Turnstone is from Arthur's Stone.
