Does anyone know the correct colour spec for a gold seal engine rocker cover? I am going to be detailing my engine over the next few months and want to try and use the correct colour rather than any old gold spray.
Thanks
Paul

There are various old threads on this subject. It appears VHT SP404 is a reasonable but not perfect match

Try searching the forum for other suggestions. The exact colour is a sort of bronze/gold I think.

If you have a good sample, a spectrometer can be used to make a match. I wonder whether British Motor Heritage would know?

I scanned this, recalling this thread and then saw that it was concerning gold seal colour. However, having scanned it, it may be useful to some!!

That’s a very helpful article. Thank you. I stripped and repainted a spare rocker cover but when I came to fit it on my engine I found it didn’t match the rest of the green very well. Now I know why.
