I have a, new to me , 1953.

Interior is poor and it has later front seats, which are pretty buggered. I had two original seats with it and a pile of covers, door cards etc in a pretty electric blue which were from a different source ( later car)

I need other parts for the seat re-cover, such as webbing and prob new foam. Watched some videos and it all seems doable.

My question is whether the front seats i have are series 11 - the car is but I am not sure the seats are. Its a bit confusing about which seat parts fit which seats.
Not too fussed on originality.

Here is what I have

Those seats look like from an early 1000, the SII ones were more curved, especially the back-rests. But yours won't look very out of place in a SII. Some of the SII seats were also used in the early 1000's, I guess to use them up.

Thanks. :D

Likely the new covers i have will fit and I now know which extra bits I need.

The seats in there now look fiesta or mini metro and are in an awful state.

Hi John. I have just replaced my seat covers after many tears of putting it off. It is not too difficult job and the results are well worth the effort. I would suggest that you fit the rubber diaphragm seat bottoms rather than the straps.

Don't forget that 1953 seats and 1969 seats are completely different.
They bear no resemblance to each other in terms of appearance OR construction

It may be helpful for John to check out the Newton Commercial seat covers etc. As I mentioned before, I believe his green seats to be from 1956 -1959
